Vendor requires MSDE 2000 for the backend of their application. Trying to install on Windows 2003 server, which I had previously installed SQL Express 2008. I had successfully installed MSDE 2000, but was having authentication issues, so I uninstalled, thinking I'd change the authentication type. I've uninstalled 2008 and MSED 2000 and removed it from the registry, but still not installing. See below for the verbose log:
