I am trying to install SQL 2005 dev on Windows 7(64bit), but it does not let me to continue due to incompatability issue.
I think I need to resolve incompatibility issue first in order to install SQL 2005, then install latest SQL 2005 SP.
How can I resolve the first problem, Incopatibility of SQL 2005 and Windows 7?
Thanks

If you get a message that the SQL Edition is not valid for the Windows Edition, then you need to use a different Edition of SQL 2005 that is valid.
If all you are getting is the program compatibility message, click whatever is needed to continue with the install. When SQL 2005 has been installed, then install SP4. This works for me.
