Insert Profiler output into a table without a trace (trc) file

    Hi all,

    I'm using a 2008 R2 server and want to log profiler output into a table. But while doing this I do not want to use a trace-trc file. I searched a lot but could not find a way.

    Is there any hope doing the operation in that way??

    You can only do it using the Profiler GUI, not server-side traces. It's got the highest overhead and worst impact on the traced server of all the options for tracing, so it's not something generally recommended.
