Is there a way to prevent users with 'browser' access to an SSRS report server from creating their own subscriptions, or accessing the 'Manage' function. I'd still like users to be able to view reports and add them to their favourites, but that's all.

I'm no SSRS expert - I tinker with it
but the point of browser is so that you can view and pick and choose your subscriptions.
i'm probably about to give you the wrong solution.. create a script that deletes those subscriptions in the SSRS database.
even worse (i'm shuddering at the thought of writing this) put a trigger on the table that lists subscriptions and immediately delete the record if they are browser
I'm going to get shouted at by a lot of people for suggesting this, but just trying to give you a quick win.
I advise that you wait for a smarter person than me to reply
