i wanted to configure Log Shipping for SQL 2005 between windows 2003 and windows 2008.
Kindly let me know does it is possible ( i think yes, as log as sql version is same on both the O/s). If yes, then kindly let me know any precautions to be taken.

I had to deal with this last year. Sadly, they both have to be the same version.

So, according to you, Log shipping can not be configured betwen servers on windows 2003 and 2008

Oh. My mistake. I thought you meant between SQL 2005 and SQL 2008.
You should be able to do it from SQL Server 2005 to 2005, regardless of the OS.
