import wizard errors copying from sql7 to 2000

    Import wizard gives error only when copying views or stored procs from sqlserver7 to sqlserver2000. No problems copying tables. Error as follows "FAILED TO COPY OBJECTS FROM MICROSOFT SQL SERVER TO MICROSOFT SQL SERVER"

    Definitely need to dig into it some. Are any encrypted? Havent tested to see if they copy or not. Maybe they are referencing something else you're missing? Scripting them out will work, or at least give you a better chance of seeing exactly what fails. Might check logins too.

    CDW is different than doing import/export. Think I've seen once where the mdf didnt get reattached. Agree that if you're using regularly would be best to check afterwards to make sure all went well.
