Hi Guys, i have just been upgraded to excel 2016. I trying to import data from SQL server into excel and it seems a little different. I also cant seem to edit the sql code as i could in the proprieties section as per previous versions of excel. I'm also now showing 2 new tabs in excel (design and query). I have loaded a word doc with screen shots what i am trying to achieve. If anyone can help that would be great.

You may wish to convert the word doc to PDF. I'm terribly worried about openning word docs on my pc.

Data Tab > queries and connections >> right click your query >edit
New Query editor opens....Home tab > advanced editor.
hope this helps

If you click on Edit on the query tab you can then edit the 'Source' in the dialog box that pops up. It is over on the right hand side under query settings.
