We're involved in a conversion from an old home grown management information system to Epicor Vantage. We elected to use the SQL Server version of Vantage. I am able to export data from my old system to a text file. I'm attempting to import data into the Epicor SQL Server resourcegroup table from this text file. When I do this in DTS, I receive no errors but when I look at the data in the table in Enterprise Manager, there's nothing there. There are two fields in the resource group file called PROGRESS_RECID and PROGRESS_RECID_IDENT. As nearly as I've been able to tell, PROGRESS_RECID_IDENT is an identity field and PROGRESS_RECID must be set equal to PROGRESS_RECID_IDENT. Can anyone tell me how I need to set up the text file import to work with identity fields and also how I can make PROGRESS_RECID equal to PROGRESS_RECID_IDENT when I do the import?
TIA

Are the PROGRESS_RECID fields in the source or destination table?
If the issue is that they are required fields in the destination but don't exist in the source, import the source data to a temporary use table. Add the two columns and populate them with values for the PROGRESS_RECID fields. The column and data could also be done pre-import using excel instead of a text file.
