Identify original hostname in process id from a terminal server connection...

  • Hi,

I need to know the hostname of the machine that is connected throw a terminal server.

When I go to the enterprise manager and I go to process info, in the host column I only se the name of my terminal server.

Who can I see the original hostname of the computer that is logged to the sql server throw the terminal server machine?

    Thanks and Kind Regards,

    Leonardo.

  • Your best bet would be to log on to the server in question and check terminal services manager. That will show you where the terminal services connection is coming from.

I’ve one Server acting like Terminal Server and another Server with sql Server 2000. I don’t know how to relation the connection in the terminal server with the process ID that I see in the Enterprise Manager.

I’ve a lot of users running an application throw the terminal server and then, the application connects to the sql server.

I need to know witch process correspond with the connection from the terminal server because sometimes I have locking from them, and I can’t see the hostname of the user to kill the proc.

Sorry if I not clearly enough, I’m new in sql server.

    Thanks!

    Leo.
