i deleted a recently attached database in management studio, is it gone?

    hiya,

    I right clicked the database in management studio, and accidentally hit "DELETE".I now can't find the corresponding  .MDF anywhere on my hard drive..or in the recycle bin.

    Is this .MDF gone forever?Can I at least salvage the scripts that created the schema?

    I can't speak much for SQL Server 2005, but if you do that in 2000, you're toast.  Your files are gone forever, with the exception of taking your harddrive into a place that can salvage the data.    Do you have a backup?

    No John, no backup. It was only a few tables that I am working on in my own time.A lesson learned.
