Are you in version 7?
If yes, check PSS ID Number: 273880 on MSDN.

First, make sure the OS is seeing it correctly. If you added the second processor after the OS was installed, you may need to update HAL so that it correctly sees the second processor.
NOTE: Some of the new processors are hyperthreaded and the OS reports that as two processors when in fact there is only one physical processor. (I have a dual processor box and when I pull up the Task Manager and look at the Performance tab--it shows 4 CPU's)
In Enterprise Manager, if you select your SQL server and choose Properties and go to the Processor tab, do you see more than one processor listed? If so, do they have check marks in the boxes?
Also, in the section just below this which item is checked:
a) Use all available processors or b) use X processors?

Hi, swjohnson
on office setup mssql2000 enterprise 2 site and all both site use cpu pentium III Xeon 2 cpu (physical) and performance to show 2 processor. I suspect on enterprise mssql2000 one site to show 2 processor and other site to show 1 processor (machine have 2 processor). I want to add cpu to enterprise mssql2000 manager to show 2 processor.
thank you everyone to advise me.
