How to open SSIS packages without Business Inteligence in SQL Server-2005

    Hi,

    I need an urgent help!!!

    I have imported the SSIS packages in the MS SQL Server 2005 but I don’t have BIDS installed in the server, this service was been disabled during the installation.

    Now I need to open SSIS package in EDIT mode to work on it. Can anyone suggest me –

    1 - HOW CAN I OPEN THE SSIS PACKAGE WITH THE BIDS INSTALLED IN THE MACHINE?

    2 - IF I INSTALL THE BIDS ALONE IN THE SERVER THEN WHAT COULD BE THE RISKS?

    You do not need to open the package on the server. You can open it from any PC with BIDS installed by creating an SSIS project and selecting ADD Existing Package to the solution. Then you can make your changes, test them, and re-deploy to the server.
