How to obtain most recent SQL Server software

  • Hi,

My company has MSDN subscription and enterprise agreement with Microsoft. We haven't received SQL Server 2008 DVDs yet, so to get non-eval version of SQL Server 2008 I had to go to a guys who manages software purchases and the enterprise agreement, which proved to be not a very quick way. I've asked him if I could get the login for the software download section on MSDN, but he said that he could not give me the access to enterprise agreement as it contains all license keys etc.

My understanding was one could have access just to MSDN without accessing any agreement information. Is this correct or is there something one of us not aware of?

    Thanks.

  • if the guy doesn't want to give your the download credentials just ask the guy to download it for you and put it in a share someplace in the network.

Sorry, this is not what my question was. He would download it for me eventually, but it proved to be slow and if possible I would like to avoid having to ask him again. My question was: does the MSDN download come with the license keys access and any other sensitive information or not? Is there a resource with will give you just the software download?

    Thanks.
