How to keeps log of StoredProc executions

  • Hi,

I have a DTS running every morning that executes a fairly complexe StoredProc. In the SP, there is a lot of print statement for my use when I execute it manually from Query Analyzer to analyze the end-result of why it did this and why it did not do that.

Is there a way I can output the prints in a separate file named by the current date, for me to review later without having to execute manually the SP ?

thanks a lot for your time and help

  • If you run this as a scheduled job, you should be able to use a job log and the print statements should write out to that. It is on the job step on the second tab in sql 2000.

    Tom
