How to get sql server 2008 10.0.400 to 10.50.1600.1

  • I have 2 sql servers which are backends for sharepoint. How do I upgrade a server to get to 10.50.1600.1 from 10.0.400. It looks like the 10.50.1600 is a R2?

  • Yeah, that's SQL 2008 R2. It's not a patch, it's an upgrade, and that means you have to buy licenses for it and install them from media (disk or download).
