How to do data quality ( name, address, account, data , matching/reconciliation) using SQL server 2008

    Dear Experts,

    Happy new year to all of you!!!!

    1) Could you please provide some info on how to do data quality ( name, address, account, data , matching/reconciliation) tasks using SQL server 2008? I know SQL server 2012 has data quality service but how about SQL 2008?

    2) what is alternative option/tools that can work with excel 2012 and SQL server 2008 to perform data quality tasks.

    Any help or docs /url as direction would be much appreciated.

    I have had good luck with MelissaData and they provide solutions for most of the areas you listed. They provide custom components as well so you can access their tools from directly within your SSIS Packages.
