If I have my MCDBA but it was for SQL 7, how many exams do I need to updgrade it to 2005? I keep getting different answers. Can't find the official stance on microsoft.com. Can anyone direct or has anyone done this?
Thanks!

Offhand, I'm not sure you can upgrade that. The upgrade path from MCDBA SQL 2000 to ITP Admin is 2 exams (70-431, 70-447) while the non-upgrade route is three. (70-431, 70-443, 70-444)
You might well be better off just doing the 2005 exams from scratch.

At some point earlier in the year, someone did suggest you could call Microsoft and ask them if you could upgrade straight from SQL 7 to 2k5. But other than that, you're probably stuck doing the 3 test upgrade (70-431, 70-444, 70-443).

I was the person who posted because I got an email from Microsoft to upgrade with only two exams. But I have both MCSE and MCDBA so I don't know if that made a difference.
