How is the Query Designer toolbar enabled?
Clicking Query, Dsign Query in Editor opens a Query designer in a model window that does not use the query tool bar. Oening a New Query pane does not enable it.
The nly way I have found to activate the query tool bar is to:
1. Right click a table then click open table.
2. Stop retreving data. (if it is a large table)
Now the Query Designer toolbar is enabled.
What is the correct way to enable the Query Designer toolbar?

Go to Management Studio > Query > Design Query in Editor

That will open the query editor, but not activate the query bar.

Oops.., You are correct. I could have read your post correctly before replying. Any hows, I'll check for some other resources and will let you if I could unearth anything.
