oh and to add to the mix there are a number of issues in w2k3 prior to sp2 which affect sql server AND you need a couple of post sp2 fixes, one of which is a registry change which also affect sql server. These things can catch you out when you least expect and seem to be worse in x64. I can't say I've had any other issues with x64 - any vendor without x64 versions etc. should be dropped as x32 is as they say " so yesterday " !!
