How can I remove connections which I am no longer using. I have deleted them but they still appear in the drop downs.
I suspect the second problem is related to this. I get the message "DTS Package - Execution was canceled by user" When using the Execute Package Task.
How can I identify what is causing the error in the sub task?

For your unused connections, create a new connection with the same name, then delete them again.
For your second problem, does the sub-package execute ok by itself?
Hope this helps

Thanks for the advice re deleting connections.
Regarding the error, yes, the sub package executes ok by itself.

I also find that if I close the parent package and run it, it does not fail. But if I select the sub package in the parent and select execute step. This is so frustrating as it makes it very difficult to test.
