So I thought I would start the right way and use our newest version of SQL Server to begin building my data warehouse in. We have a copy of 2008, so I decided to use it.
When I went to go write some reports on my development box, I got a strange message. The box uses VS2005 BIDS to create RDL's for SSRS2005.
"This server version is not supported. You must have Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Beta 2 or later."
When I go to help and look up the version:
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
Version 8.0.50727.762 (SP.050727-7600)
Microsoft .NET Framework
Version 2.0.50727 SP2
Installed Edition: IDE Standard
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Premier Partner Edition - ENU Service Pack 1 (KB926601)
This service pack is for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Premier Partner Edition - ENU.
If you later install a more recent service pack, this service pack will be uninstalled automatically.
