High CPU Utilization with SQL 2000 SP3 Cluster

  • Hi,

We are having a problem with a SQL 2000 cluster. The CPU utilization is 95-100% most of the time. Users are complaining of slow transactions.

We are running on SP3 for SQL server 1 and SP4 on server 2.

The transactions are between 30-75 per second

The Buffer Cache Ratio is at 100 %.

Lockout for the 1st server is 0-5/s

Lockout for the 2nd server is 70-300

Disk Transfers is not more than 1100/s

I am a novice at SQL. Any help will be highly appreciated. If any further information required plz let me know.

    Thanks in advance.
