Help Required: Avg per month

    Hi ,

    I am generating a report which has Start Date and End Date parameters. I would like some help on how to retrieve the months and years falling between the two dates.

    Then I have to retrieve the number of days for each month. Then divide the total by that value

    So the formula: avg per month = total of xyz/total days for each month.

    (This is applicable for each month between the dates and the final value for the respective months will be need to be displayed in the report )

    If you would be so kind as to follow the second link in my signature on posting code and data for the best help, I am sure some of the people on here will come up with a solution to your needs.

    We would require CREATE TABLE DDL scripts for objects involved along with sample data, expected outcome from the data and what you have tried so far, so that we can point you in the right direction.
