I received this message in SQL logs:
SQL Server detected a DTC in-doubt transaction with UOW {36929D83-2F5F-11D8-A4C9-00E0181C5366}.Please resolve it following the guideline for Troubleshooting DTC Transactions.
I tried to follow the instructions from MS: kill the process with that UOW. That didn't seem to work. I wanted to restore the database from a backup, but it appears the backup got corrupted.
Assuming that the MDF (and possibly the LDF) files are okay, how do I get this database back? I did this once before, but I can't find my notes on that.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

After more investigation, I found that I cannot start the DTC on this server. In the event viewer there is this entry:
MS DTC transaction manager start failed. LogInit returned error 0xc000101d.
I believe this has something to do with the in-doubt transaction that occurred previously.
The data in the database appears to be okay, since I can query it and get the correct data.
Help! I need to get this database up and running. Any help/suggestions/pointers will be greatly appreciated.
TIA
