I have installed the SSIS extension for VS 2022 community. When I go into Manage Extensions, it is not shown as installed. When I browse for ssis it comes up and has an Install button. When I run that it gives me only the option to Repair or Modify, as if it IS installed... When I run a repair and reboot, i get the same results, and am not able to open an SSIS project from VS 2017 community.

Can you confirm you have downloaded and installed version 1.5 of Microsoft.DataTools.IntegrationServices.exe?
It should appear in your Programs and Features list. Also, have you rebooted since installing?

Yes version 1.5
Yes reboot after initial install and after the "repair".
Yes to program appears in Programs and features

VS 2017 or VS 2022?
You stated you installed the 2022 SSIS extension - but then stated you cannot open a project in VS 2017. If you are using VS 2017 then you need to install the extension for that version.

Perhaps I was unclear. The original SSIS project was created in VS 2017 Community. I am trying to open it in VS 2022 Community.
