    #1 - Database Manager

    The Central Information Technology group is looking for a Database Manager to join their team. This position is responsible for 24/7 support of our 60+ Production SQL 7.0/2000 databases. You will have six very skilled DBAs reporting to you to ensure uptime. We are looking for someone who has risen through the ranks as a SQL DBA while acquiring excellent management and technical skills. The right candidate is someone who is interested managing and directing a department as well as keeping their hands-on technical skills fresh.

    Required Skills:

    - Extensive SQL 7.0/2000 database administration skills.

    - Must have managed a team of SQL DBAs.

    - Experience in a mission critical production environment.

    - Stored Procedures, Triggers, DTS.

    - Strong oral & written communication skills.

    - College Degree (CIS preferred).

    Preferred (NOT Required) Skills:

    - Mortgage Banking or Financial Experience.

    - Big 4 consulting experience.

    - Indexing, Clustering, Tuning.

    - Certification

    #2 - PeopleSoft DBA

    The Strategic Assets group is looking for a SQL/PeopleSoft DBA to join their team.

    SUMMARY

    This position is accountable for supporting all phases of database operations life cycle and daily maintenance and support with particular emphasis on Peoplesoft systems supported by SQL Server. Accountable for translating stated business needs into data elements, data relationships, and logical and physical models. Responsible for the implementation, operation, and integrity of designated enterprise’s database systems and database systems, particularly Peoplesoft, and management of changes on designated databases during the development cycle.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    - Implement and operate Enterprise and PeopleSoft database systems from start to finish following IndyMac’s standards and guidelines.

    - Maintain and apply PeopleSoft patches in a development environment keeping systems current with latest releases of application. This includes utilizing PeopleSoft tools to move projects and objects into a testing environment while coordinating testing and implementation efforts.

    - Responsible for troubleshooting issues in both Enterprise and PeopleSoft environments.

    - Document and track all development and issues using TeamTrack for issue and project tracking and MicroSoft Visual SourceSafe for version control.

    - Communicate with the developers to formulate strategies for development and offering alternatives or solutions for design considerations and issue resolution.

    - Ability to adapt quickly to production related issues and make the necessary changes in development to resolve those issues.

    - Analyze and debug applications and systems issues as they arise.

    - Work closely with PeopleSoft developers to efficiently resolve application and system issues.

    EXPERIENCE/EXPERTISE

    - Minimum 4-6 years experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, including DTS, Replication and query analyzer. Must be able to provide user support and help the users explore new functionality and process changes.

    - Experience with DTS and Replication is a plus. - Minimum 2-4 years experience working with PeopleSoft Peopletools, including Application Designer, Datamover, Upgrade Assistant and PS Query. Must be able to apply upgrades and fixes. Must be able to create tables, indexes, views using Application Designer.

    - Must be able to work in a source code controlled environment, following specific application standards and guidelines.

    - Should be familiar with Microsoft Visual SourceSafe or similar.

    Experience/proficiency with the following toolsets/platforms:

    - MS SQL Server DB (7.0 & 2000)

    - PeopleSoft PeopleTools 8.x/PS Query 8.x

    - Application Designer 8.x, Upgrade Assistant 8.x

    - SQR 6.5, Crystal Reports 8.0

    - DTS & Replication (SQL Server 7.0 & 2000)
