Does anyone know what permissions need to be granted to give a user read access to everything (Agent jobs, execution plans, definitions, DMVs and system tables)
I do not want this user to have any write permissions or any SA privileges.
I'm going to point you to Books Online. Much of the information you need is located there. I'd have to do some research there myself to answer your question as I really don't keep a lot of this in my head.
