When I am connected from home, and I open the SQL Management Studio, the --Object Explorer Details-- content shows garbage characters for the items found or blank names. This is strictly a display issue. When I click on an item, the correct name reflects at the bottom of the screen.
I have tried bumping up the settings on my Remote Desktop graphics properties but it doesn't seem to help. This problem doesn't happen when I am at work.
I do not see this problem with any other application via Remote Desktop.
Has anyone seen this?
Anyone have some ideas on how to fix it?

RDP does some strange things. One of them is adjust screen resolutions. You may want to try a different screen resolution in your RDP connection.
You also may want to change your "Font Size" in your display properties. If you have large or extra large fonts on, the RDP client sometimes has some trouble with certain UI's.

This sounds like an RDP font mapping issue. Try lowering your display size and/or color density. If that does not work, then try playing around with the settings on the "Experience" tab.
