Firewall is blocking TCP/IP port 1433 for Transaction replication

    Hey Man, I never reply and answered any questions on this forum yet due to my SQL Server skills and knowledge.

    You can create SQL ALIAS to use a static port on both Publisher, Subscriber and A remote distributor Microsoft SQL Servers.

    your cisco guy is concerned about security like he should be. 1433 is a well known port and not secured. Have him setup a VPN tunnel between the firewalls and you'll both be happy.
