Hi
While patching my sql 2016 servers I run into the following error :
SQL Server Setup Failure.
SQL server setup has encountered the following error:
index was outside the bounds of the array..
and then a useless link. copy past doesn't seems to work on this text box
I am installing CU3 server is currently patched until SP2.
The error occurs at the check files in use stage in the installer.
Anybody an idea of what is happening ?

Check the setup bootstrap where you have installed SQL, open the text file to get some information.

To anybody interested. I worked around this issue by skipping the Check Files in Use step. Then it patched normaly
