Hi,
Please bear with me as I am very new to all of this... I am trying to run several SSIS packages using SQL Agent. I created a credential, a proxy, and then scheduled the job. If I right click on the job, select "run job at step", and select step 1, it works fine - the job completes using the credential and proxy account that I created. I can also run the package from within SSIS just fine.
However, when I schedule the job to run on its own, I get the following error message:
"Failed to decrypt protected XML node "DTS:Password" with error 0x80070002 "The system cannot find the file specified.". You may not be authorized to access this information. This error occurs when there is a cryptographic error. Verify that the correct key is available."
I see many posts regarding this error, but my case is a little different - because the permissions seem to be working OK until the job runs automatically on its own. Any thoughts as to what I am doing wrong?
Thank you for your time,
Chris

I see that I've posted this in the wrong forum... Sorry about that. I am going to repost it in an appropriate forum.
