Extract distinct year out of date field

  I have a field which contains dates from the past 4 years.  How do I extract only the year values (4) so I don't have to display all of the dates to the user?

  I want the user to step through choosing the year and then the specific date within that year of the record they want to see.

  Help!?

  Nevermind, I got it:

  SELECT DISTINCT YEAR(Actual_Date_Entered) AS Expr1

  FROM [Hour Log]
