Exporting SRS Report to CSV format

  • Wasn't sure which forum to post this under, but am hoping to find some info here.

I am attempting to use SRS to feed a csv file to a sub-system where it will be processed.  However, when the file is exported it is including the report's grid field names as the first records (IE...  textbox1, textbox2, textbox3, etc)  Eventhough, I have already removed all column headers from the grid, it is still posting the grid field names.

Anyone know a way to prevent this?

  • So that the user can specify the parameters (Date Range) that they want to receive the file for.

  • And what's wrong with providing them with a pretty, purpose built web page to gather parameter information?

SRS isn't designed to create extract files, so why use it that way when there are more capable tools available?
