Export SSIS Package to File system

  • I have a Maintainance Plan job thats failing, I need to Fix it. To fix it i need to edit the associated SSIS package. In order to Edit the SSIS package I tried exporting tha pkg but i get the following error.

  • You should be able to edit the package right withon SSMS. why do you think you need to export it to edit it?

  • Can you please tell me how do i do that. I see options to export , import and upgrade, Bu tnot edit.

  • I'm guessing you are connected to the SSIS server.. Connect to SQL, expand Management, Expand Maintenance Plans, and if you right click on the plan it will have a Modiy option. Voila!
