Hi,
I'm trying to install Reporting service sp 2.
My sql 2000 server is installed in another server. This server serves as domain with win server 2003.
I'm trying to upgrade to rs sp 2 in server system which is serving as web server(win web server 2003).RS sp 1 is already installed.
Recently, i upgraded the sql server 2000 service pack from 3a to 4 before trying to upgrade to RS sp 2.
Then tried to install the RS SP2 in the web server. But i have this error msg : SQL setup failed to connect to the db service for sql server configuration. I dont have MS VS.NET installed but have the .NET framework installed n running. I tried to disable the Terminal Service...but doesnt solve the problem.
when i tried to run rskeymgmt it says that it is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
Pls i need to resolve this asap.
the followng is the log file:

Does the account you're using to run the SP2 install have privaledges on the DB server? from the P2 install readme -->
Upgrading the Report Server Database
Setup will use your domain account credentials (Windows integrated security) to upgrade the report server database. You must have database owner (dbo) level permissions on the report server database to perform the upgrade. If you want to use different credentials, you should run SP2 Setup from the command line.

Have you tried nstalling from the command line? Also, can you post any more from your install logs? The error you've described isn't in the section of log you posted.
