Error on sql server : cannot find account that is causing this error

  • Log entry:

    Error: 17806, Severity: 20, State: 14.

SSPI handshake failed with error code 0x8009030c, state 14 while establishing a connection with integrated security; the connection has been closed. Reason: AcceptSecurityContext failed. The operating system error code indicates the cause of failure. The logon attempt failed [CLIENT: IP Address]

Can anyone help me resolve this error. error does not show any account.

  • You need to figure out what that IP address is - then you can start looking for which domain account would be causing the issue.  If the IP address is a workstation, then it most likely is the logged in user - if a server, then either the logged in user or one of the services on that system.
