I installed SQL Server 2008 R2 64 bit on a new Server.
I downloaded SQLServer2008R2SP1-KB2528583-x64-ENU.exe from the following site.
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26727
However I get an error that it is not a valid 32 bit application.
The machine is definitely a 64 bit machine.
I also tried to install SP1 from the same file that I used to before on another server.
I had initially installed Standard Edition but I removed SQL Server and reinstalled SQL Server Enterprise Edition (meant to upgrade). Now I'm getting the same error on that Server as well.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated?
