I have got SQL2008 Developer Edition installed on my laptop, and am attempting to connect to it using SQL Management Studio. When I key in the server name and hit Connect, I get an error stating that the connection could not be made.. "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it ::1:49182 (System)"
I have looked in the services and can see that all the SQL2008 related services are running. I must also mention that I have another instance of SQL2005 also installed on the same machine. So, my instances are
Has anyone else come across this before?
Can anyone point me onto where to look at next?
