Having trouble backing up an Analysis Services database. Both the GUI and scripted backup return the following error. The following system error occurred: Access is denied. .
(Microsoft.AnalysisServices). I am new to SSAS so really have no idea how to proceed. My account is listed as a Server administrator in the Security section of the Analysis Properties window. Is there some other permission I'm missing?

Make sure that the SSAS service account has write permision on the path where you are trying to back up the database.

Service account has full permissions to the backup folder, and is in the server admins group. When starting the backup, a zero byte file is created, but never populated.
