Whether on the server or client, while in Enterprise Mgr. attempt is made to view Properties of DB by Right-click -> Properties. Once clicked, there is a hangtime of about 20 seconds before EM closes out or "crashes"!
What to do?

I had this happen on one of my machines (client-side only). I ended up re-installing the service pack on the client and it worked fine. Does any client connecting to your SQL Server show this behavior? Or have you just noticed it on a client and the server itself?

I've only noticed it on the server itself.
//Server 2000, clustered environment
I term-serv onto the Server to work and notice that I cannot pull up the Properties sheet for ANY of my Databases.
