Hi all,
Is it possible to enable SQL Server 2008 System CLR on a existing SQL Serevr 2005 instance without installing SQL Server 2008 DE?
In my SQL server 2005 instance I have already enabled CLR , but developer wanted it to be of SQL Server 2008 CLR I was woundering as this is config value will it be possible?

Nope. Those are different pieces of functionality inherent to the different versions of SQL Server. If there's 2008 functionality needed, it's also going to need the underlying 2008 engines.
