  Hi all,

  So I'm currently doing research on SQL Azure and its capabilities to see if where we may best be able to make use of it is.

  One thing that I cant find an answer to is, is it possible to have an elastic query from a single database or elastic pool to our on-prem SQL instances. I seem to have it working every other way, EP>EP, on Prem> to EP, on Prem to managed instance.

  But I just cant see to establish if its possible to do an elastic query to an on prem server, maybe I'm looking in the wrong places but there seems little information on how this can be achieved or even if it can.

  Has anyone got experience of this?
