Hello Experts,
My application is developed in VB and the back-end is SQL 2000.
If the back-end version is upgraded to SQL 2005, would it affect any functionality of the application?

It all depends on what you're doing and which features you use.

in many case it will work, in others it won't.
Start with SQL2005 upgrade adivsor !
