We have a DTSX package that was imported from SQL 2000 that is not generating double quotes correctly in SQL 2008. The package works in SQL 2000.
Expected result:
"Flat I-22, Block ""I"", Diamond District"
Actual Result:
"Flat I-22, Block "I", Diamond District"
Please help. Thanks you guys!!

SSIS does not handle embedded column delimiters, row delimiters or text qualifiers the same way DTS does. If memory serves the difference resides in the way the SSIS Flat File Connector was implemented...it will not automatically escape text qualifiers in the data based on the text qualifier of the Flat File Connector. You can use a Script Component to do the escaping and output that to a Flat File. There are many workarounds available on the net too, but most deal with importing, however the issue affects both imports and exports. Here is one[/url].
