DTS package

    I am not soo good in building DTS package . I am looking at a  very complicated DTS pckg and just wanted to know how can i see all the steps in this. Also how can i check where the log file is been created.ANy help will be greatly appreciated.

    When you open the package it opens the DTS package flow and the steps are visual. If you want to see the steps in detail double click the visual item (including the arrow bars / workflow lines). If you just want a common place to view the steps details then select on the toolbar Package -> Disconnected Edit.

    As for loggin choose Package -> Properties and on the Logging tab you will find what you are looking for.

    This post assumes you are using SQL 7/2000 with your question.
