DPM backup of both full and simple models on same protection group?

    Hello,

    How does dpm back up a sql cluster that contain s both full and simple

    databases? Right now we are currently backing up that way. If I need to

    back up transaction logs do I need to split up the different databases in

    different protection groups one for simple and one for full or will DPM just

    skip the databases that are in simple recovery and back up the transactions

    logs on only the full models?

    I have no idea what DPM is or how it is configured or set up. You probably should ask the vendor of that tool how it works.

    If this is the Microsoft DPM product, I think you need separate groups.
