I tried to Download the SQL Server 2008 R2 Trail Version from a PC and the download does not start and I'm not prompted to install an ActiveX Control.
I was trying to find a work around but no luck so far.
I was able to Download the SQL Server Denali CTP without any issues.
Does anyone have any thoughts that they would like to share?

Did you use:

Which browser (and version) are you using...I use Chrome and the download above works fine for me.

I logged in with my live account (as prompted), waited for 7 or 8 minutes and could download the iso image
I was also able to use this link, again with about a 6 - 8 minute wait - be patient! 😉

I realized that the Account I was using to download was not a member of the Administrators Group.
Usually that is not a problem but in this case it did not prompt me to install the 3rd party ActiveX Control.
I was surprised that the ActiveX Control is not a Microsoft Control?
Is this ActiveX Control Safe?
