Does changing a 'replication filter value' require a new snapshot

  Hi

  We have transactional replication set up and it is working fine. On one of the publications we use filters and filter by a client ID number. When I go to the publication properties, select filter rows, then select the table and click edit I can edit the value from there to the required value that i need.

  Will i need to re-initialise a new snap shot after doing this or will replication automatically pick up the change ?

  Just in case anybody else has the same problem........a new snapshot is required, so i did this out of hours since it locks the tables involved in the replication. 🙂

  but you are able to take a snapshot only of the article that was changed.
