distributed availability group query

  • Not sure if this is my misunderstanding or an error in my process:

    Create AG1 on server 1 & 2.  (2019).  Add DB1.  Replica are joined, DB1 is synchronised.

Create AG2 on server 3 & 4.  (2022). Add DB2.  Replica are joined, DB2 is synchronised. Remove DB2 from AG & drop on both.

    Create DAG on AG1 & AG2.

DB1 seeds over to server 3.  It doesn't get created on server 4.  Availability DBs appear as 'unjoined', cannot join them as GUI errors with 911 error = Database does not exist.

Should DB1 get seeded to server 4?  Do I need to do this manually & if so at which stage?

    Thanks

You can create a replica in Node 4 and add it to DAG. BY the way are you doing this for migrating to 2022?
