Disaster recovery server

    Do we have to pay for the SQL licences on a DR server. This server will only be used in case of.

    The DR solution is with log-Shipping.

    Yes, you do. The only type of disaster recovery (DR) server that doesn't need its own license is the non-active server in an Active/Passive failover cluster.
